New Lily Allen Video - "Fuck You"

thumbnail icon: New Lily Allen Video - "Fuck You"

You first heard her anti-homophobia anthem as (the ostensibly George W-referencing) "Guess Who Batman?," but when the song resurfaced on It's Not Me, It's You, it came with some blunt "Fuck You" titling. Now it has a video sung and shot from Lily Allen's P.O.V. At first it seems like it'll be pretty low-tech, but then she decides to start shifting and refashioning the world around her one Afro, Eiffel Tower, suit, wiener dog, and ass at a time. It's all about change, see?

This French fan-made "Fuck You" video cuts to the chase.

It's Not Me, It's You is out via Capitol.

Cause he's only been out of power for months. Still need to trash on him of course. Musicians can be so spineless. Always attacking the PC targets. Who's she going to go after next? Palin? Edgy.

Also notice the "ostensibly" part of the write-up. The song contains no actual reference to W, tho so what if they did? The lyrics, while a bit trite, attack hateful small-mindedness. And a song attacking Palin? Great. No matter how much of a belligerent manipulative agent of hate she is, she's still got plenty of supporters: http://is.gd/19M4R

You think the song is about George W Bush, because that's what articles like this tell you. When Lily Allen wrote that the song was originally intended for the B. N. P. you had no reason to believe it, because you're not a fan. That in itself only proves you''re own stupidity.

Odd how this could be played in any coffee shop but is still a rebel song.

I think the whole "love everyone" mentality is a bit more appealing.
