Paul McCartney - RAM

Paul McCartney’s second post-Beatles LP, RAM, is getting the deluxe reissue treatment and today we’re giving away one of these packages to you, the commenter! The package celebrating the Paul and Linda McCartney collaboration includes:

  • 112-page book
  • Photo prints
  • Handwritten lyrics and notes,
  • Four CDs
  • A bonus film DVD
  • Hi-Res 24bit 96kHz files of the remastered and bonus audio CD accessed via a download code inserted on a card within the deluxe edition package

    When my Uncle Albert died we played this song at his funeral. The whole family mouth trumpeted the solo.

  14. In case that link above doesn’t work my favorite is “Let em in” and all these songs hold a special place now that my 9 yr old loves and listens to Paul McCartney and Wings every night before bed. :)

  15. I love Maybe I’m Amazed, but I believe my favorite is Mull of Kintyre. Something about the bagpipes I guess.

    I also was a fan of The Girl is Mine, although I don’t think it ever appeared on a McCartney album…

  78. I’d have to say my favorite solo Paul song is Junk from McCartney and my favorite Wings song is Bluebird. Ram is one of my favorite albums!

  79. Uncle Albert Admiral Halsey was a very clever song (and single off Ram) and I’d say that was one of the bigger highlights of Paul’s solo career.

  80. Ram was released during my “Tour of Duty” in Vietnam. I was 21 in 1971. Armed Forces Radio would play “Uncle Albert/ Halsey”, and I felt a rush of joy go through me each time. I later bought a copy of the LP before I could afford to purchase a turntable to play it on. Everything came together soon after and I will always remember that time of my life, whenever I hear this album.
