It’s 4/20, which means it’s time to check in on the highest and lowest rated comments of the week! It also means another Coachella weekend is upon us. Are you going to that? Will Bon Iver perform with Hologram Levon Helm? (Boo! Too soon!) What about Record Store Day tomorrow? Have you saved your allowance for that? What about brunch? Are you at least going to brunch? It’s springtime, go outside this weekend — Games Of Thrones will wait. But first, check out these awesome and terrible comments. You’ll never guess who scored lowest.

First she gets removed from the line-up in 2009. Now she can’t even make the 2013 hologram lineup? Guys, I’m worried about Amy Winehouse. |

I’m not as strong a fan of Spiritualized as the reviewer. I sometimes find the noise and experimentation self-indulgent, “noise for noise’s sake” rather than serving the music. But I certainly agree with the review on this album, especially the line “paralyzingly gorgeous.” Well put! My review is at http://www.kammentary.com/2012/04/review-sweet-heart-sweet-light-by.html |

If you like Coachella, you might like my blog, Rhymes and Reasons. It’s a series of interviews with hip-hop heads who discuss their lives and a few songs that matter to them. Pretty powerful stuff. Check’em out here: http://thisisrhymesandreasons.wordpress.com/ |

Second time in the Top 10? Sweet! Happy 420 everyone.
happy holidays. I was hoping my Simpsons-referencing comment in the Coachella review might get in, but ah well.
Please stop posting Simpson’s comments

You know, I checked out that dude’s blog. It’s a blog alright.
R.I.P. Dick Clark
R.I.P. Levon Helm
R.I.P. Stereogum Buzz Chart
R.I.P. Is Anyone Up?
Long live Brochella
Stopped doing the Buzz Chart this month, yeah.
Does anyone miss it? It was a bitch to make in Photoshop every week and didn’t get many comments, but …
Maybe it should be monthly?
It was exciting the first few weeks (and those felt like some exciting news weeks, unless I am remembering it wrong) but I think with a lack of controversial talking points, people generally seemed to care less as time went by. Filling the top 10 started to become more of a “Who released a new track / album we liked this week?” placement deal and not so much of a more buzz-y “What did Lana Del Rey or M.I.A. do to piss the world off now?” type of thing.
When it first started I was doing a pretty good job of keeping up with the Sgum on a daily basis so it didn’t seem like a super useful feature to me personally, but I have to say it’s pretty nice to have on weeks where I am hosed and can’t keep up with 3 or so new pages of posts a day. Though if it’s that much of a pain to make in Photoshop then a more simplified version might not be a bad idea…
It was interesting because it occasionally led me to some posts that I’d previously missed. But I never really understood how the “buzz” factor (positive, negative or neutral) was decided upon.
Couldn’t you like, create a Photoshop template and just plug in what you needed each week?
I enjoyed the buzz chart… if I missed anything during the the week it allowed me to catch up. Also, I generally like lists, so it always was a nice sum up of the week. Maybe there’s another way to do it other than the Photoshop format, something more dynamic and interactive, as well as being easier to produce
“Dude this tUnE-yArDs bitch is so wicked!!”
= David Guetta crowd + crystal meth
That’s hilarious. I keep watching different people. The guy to the left in the beater is my favorite. Sick step moves and finger movements. So subtle and smooooooth.
Scott, I have to ask, where’s that photo from you use every week? Is it stock? Or is it the videogum yelling kid all growed up and race-changed?
Videogum kid grown up and race-changed.
#3. Huzzah!
Sledgehammer. Is Neterati still a thing?
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; Amrit has exceptional taste.
Also everybody should go and see the Jim Jones Revue live.
2 weeks in a row!

And now the moment’s been ruined (would put sad gif here if I fucking knew how)
Lose the [img] tags at the front and end and just post the link as it is. Stereogum’s comment section is smart enough to detect image links and translate them.
Thanks man
^I was going to leave it as a reply, but my bad…at least I know how to do it now.
I miss those times when the Blazers were good. This gif is so great.
Happy Record Store Day, Everyone!
