
Before this morning, the Canadian ghostly-synthpop duo Purity Ring had managed to build a serious buzz despite only having released three songs. Today, they bring the grand total to four, and new jam “Obedear” might be their strongest yet. It’s an atmospheric glide with a plinky keyboard riff that reminds me of Game and 50 Cent’s “How We Do,” and it’s the first taste of the group’s debut album Shrines, due this summer.
