Florence Welch is really, really good at performing on TV, summoning elemental wails and vast reserves of gravitas even immediately after David Letterman has made a forehead-slap joke about her band’s name. That’s what she did last night on the Late Show With David Letterman, giving “No Light, No Light” the canyon-spanning rendition it deserves. That one big note! Man! Watch it below.
