FUCK YES
Sounds promising. But didn’t Funeral come out in 2004? If they can’t go on Wikipedia and find that out, then I’m skeptical of their sources’ ability to find out the release date for an upcoming album, much less one as secretive as this.
This is good, good news
YES! YES! YES!! This made my day, that’s for sure.
It’s encouraging that Dravs said the new songs are “better”, as it indicates an awareness that Neon Bible wasn’t perfect. Here’s hoping this one blows it out of the water.
Perfect?… As opposed to what?
It’s a figure of speech. I didn’t particularly want to get into a detailed conversation about the strengths of weaknesses of Neon Bible in a stereogum.com comment, sorry.
Today is a good day.
Neon Bible was fucking awesome. Better than Funeral, which I LOVED.
But when will it be available on BT Junkie? I am still waiting on BT to release the new Vampire Weekend
Jesus, usually I agree with your teachings but cannot go with you on NB>Funeral. That said both were great, excited for May!
Funeral is slightly better than Neon Bible. Slightly.
Looking forward to the new material so we can finally place a < or > next to it.
Neon Bible is standard indie rawk without much substance. Funeral is a lot better.
listened to Funeral last night on vinyl…wow…what a fantastic album. While I love Neon Bible, Funeral has a bit more looseness to it. I always associate this record with the beginning of winter…and the artwork looks great on vinyl..those big silver pen strokes…
