Blood Diamonds — AKA Vancouver’s Mike Tucker — will put out a 12” this summer, and today yields that release’s vivid lead cut, the tropical electro-dance groove “Phone Sex.” It features vocals from friend/collaborator Grimes, and it totally works as a summer anthem, what with it’s warm, synthetic steel drum-led rhythm and florid textures. The “Phone Sex” 12” is out 7/16 in the UK and 7/24 in the US on 4AD. It’ll also feature a B-side called “Ritual” as well as “Phone Sex” remixes by Unicorn Kid and Jensen Sportag. There will be a limited amount pressed on transparent pink vinyl; art up top is by Elite Gymnastics.
