Los Angeles dance group We Are The World don’t show their hand in the video for “Clay Stones,” actually they don’t show much of anything about themselves aside from excellent taste in costumes and body movements to pair with the darkened and clacking techno-philic creepfest of “Clay Stones.” Co-directed by the group and Alma Har’el — who we just saw work with Fanfarlo, and Beirut before that — the clip spends some time in a burnt down forest near Lake Arrowhead, and the rest in varying shades of bodysuits writhing in homes, with or without clay stones, frenetically edited visuals that match beats and blood pressure with the rising synths. Something about the way scary confetti-demon-face crawls toward the camera says this is not a happy ending.
The “Clay Stones” single is out 1/26 via IAMSOUND, and the Clay Stones LP is out 2/23 via Manimal Vinyl.

One of the best bands ever to come out of Los Angeles.
I absolutely LOVE this bad.
Love this video!
Clay Bodies is better.
Unsettling in such a good way. Their live show is even better
