The debut album from Van Pierszalowski’s WATERS — the current project from the ex-Port O’Brien frontman — was released last September, though more music from its sessions is surfacing. “If Only” is a psychedelic-pop Nugget bursting with fizzy, buzzy, Wavves-y energy and melody, over before it begins, and built for constant replays. WATERS Out In The Light is out via TBD. Catch up with its excellent “For The One.”

  1. This is going to be his second record. His debut was Out In The Light in 2011

    • I now realize I misread all of that post.

      • No worries. It was confusing that they didn’t mention the title of the album they were referencing till right at the end of the article. Especially since this is an abnormal music work thing to have an artist release non album tracks 3/4 of a year after the album was released.

More power to him though, because WATERS is actually a really good project. And I like this song a lot. It makes sense in the summer.

  2. Wow. A real banger! Revise that summer jams shortlist.
