Reportedly, the next volume of Alan Moore’s League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen comic book will feature an Antichrist figure clearly modeled on Harry Potter. At one point, he apparently kills somebody by shooting a lightning bolt from his dick. This is obviously awesome. And in our second bit of fun Harry Potter-related news, the former Potter Daniel Radcliffe shows up in “Beginners,” the new video from the British indie-folk duo Slow Club, rocking a Hawaiian shirt and acting convincingly drunk and belligerent while lip-syncing the song. I haven’t. Guess I’ll have to add it to my playlist “Actors Trying Too Hard”.
It must be a new trend. Seems like professional actors are bored of making movies and tv series and are now acting in music videos. This year alone I’ve seen Aubrey Plaza, Jake Gyllenhaal, Helena Bonham Carter, Shia LaBeouf… and those are the ones that come to mind.
maybe now people will care about this band.
