The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends was definitely one of the coolest contributions to Record Store Day 2012. The extremely limited double-LP set featured the Lips alongside a slew of notable guests (Bon Iver, Tame Impala, Erykah Badu, etc.), pressed on high-quality, multi-color vinyl. Next week, the collection gets a wide release (CD and digital) with one new track, “Tasered And Maced,” featuring Ghostland Observatory.
