I’m curious: What’s the vibe/reception like at their shows in the U.S these days? I’m in Canada and have seen them in Toronto and Montreal, both shows a notch above amazing.

This is so frustrating. It’s like only music journalists can get tickets to anything worthwhile anymore. This is why I hardly ever go to shows nowadays.

Yeah, I heard about that LA early show. I could stand seeing them twice in a night, as the Spaceland show I caught was amazing. Their live energy is unreal, and the crowd was really into it. Course, this show was fairly early in the game and was at a 21+ venue. God I hope there arent any 17 year old OC fans with assymetrical haircuts at this next round of shows.

that’s the one good think about living in the midwest. we went to the cincy show, and while it was crowded and high-energy with a massive line out the door, i don’t think tickets ever sold out. the venue was awesome too…a huge old house that looked like the bates motel..and they played in the basement.

For ticketless NYCers, the Boston show still has tickets available. We’re just a hop skip and a Fung Wah away.

I went to the mercury lounge to get tickets, as it had sold out on ticketweb. Always worth checking. I got 4 for the bowery, easy. This was a few days ago though.

webster hall is the absolute worst place to see someone!

last time i was there there were fat security guards standing on the stage blocking the view for everyone standing up front.

¡valgame dios! did anyone else try getting arcade fire tickets for their 630pm troubador show?

did that shite sell out super fast? a friend of mine was on-line, at the same time i was, and wasn’t able to get two tickets.

    wtf?

  20. robb  |   Posted on Dec 20th, 2004

Yeah, for the 6:30 Troubadour show I had to log on the Ticketmaster site at 12:50, then go to the Arcade Fire Page and hit refresh until 1pm when the sale started (Thank you T3 connection). I got 2 tickets, but the damn thing sold out in under 10 minutes. Unbeleivable
