Recently, Iggy Pop & Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino recorded a song for the True Blood soundtrack called “Let’s Boot And Rally,” a song co-written by KCRW DJ Gary Calamar (Calamar also serves as True Blood‘s music supervisor). It’s a quick, fun groove where Iggy takes the lead and Bethany backs him up. Basically, it’s the perfect track to score a montage of Sookie Stackhouse booting and rallying. Stream it below.

KCRW nuthugs Cosentino so hard. They made Norah Jones a “star” and they’re trying to do the same for Bethany.
Whenever I’m in its radius, I’ll tune in because it’s unintentionally funny. The playlist usually consists of some meditative, world beat or lite indie / alternative music and the host is either a well enunciated Brit or some calming male. “You’re listening to Morning Becomes Eclectic on KCRW… On the way, we have Ratatat, Esperenza Spalding, a new one from Beach House, and Eulogies will be stopping by to play a few songs live for us later in the hour…”
