In the Sean Michael Turrell-directed video for previously mentioned (and listened to) “Hit The Wall,” Broken Social Scene bassist and Spirit If… tour mate Brendan Canning wakes up in the woods in his red tracksuit and sees some of those animals that we’ve also seen here and here, proving that indie videomakers are now required to watch Donnie Darko repeatedly as part of their indie videomaker film school core curriculum. To keep your mind off of that, make sure to think about Jeff Lynne at least twice, especially during the driving sequences.

Humanoid deer + exuberant band performances sometimes equals this.

Broken Social Scene Presents: Something for All of Us… is out 7/22 via Arts & Crafts.

definitely one of my favorites on the album along with “all the best wooden toys are made in germany”, “something for all of us”, and “churches under the stairs”. the cute video doesn’t hurt either. and that beard! so intense…

from a musical stand point, this cd is phenomenal. not as catchy as “spirit if…”, but there’s more variety and in my opinion it’s a little more impressive.

Every time I’m tricked into clicking on a link that leads me to a Fall Out Boy video that person or persons get put on a list. And no, don’t bother. It’s too late to apologize.
