This extended video treatment for Bromst‘s “Woof Woof” offers a kid’s puppet show drama set in Dayglo Deacon land. It’s the work of the Showbeast collective (aka Benjamin Beast, Erin Gleeson, and Alan Resnic), who serve up Poison’d Oats, grow powder, Deacon as a creepy and violent tiger, and “Woof Wood”-ing electro-rock dogs, among other kaleidoscopic things. Remember: Dan Deacon’s not on acid. He’s just living in Baltimore.

Ive always wanted the lyrics to this song but could never track them down. The video is pretty wild to say the least
A few things to say…
First of all, lose some damn weight Dan. You are sick.
Second, you have a lot of potential. Stop with the dog barks and other corny stuff. If you made a real album, i bet it would be good. Too bad you are more concerned with being that weird kid.
Third, get to the stupid song already, that was so boring…
Anyway, that is what I think.
Go see him live. You’ll be a fan. One of the best live shows you’ll ever experience. The songs work a lot better in that context.
Just when I thought I could stow this album away for awhile, this nonsensical wonderland comes along and reminds me how delightful Dan Deacon can be.

i saw dan deacon in missoula montana once. he had everyone stand in a circle holding hands. then he pulled people out of the crowd and had them dance in front of everyone whether they wanted to our not. it was a thing of beauty. the energy level was so high and positive.
