Alan Carton, the creator of @diditleak, a Twitter page that announced album leaks, died on 1/16 after a battle with cancer. Carton doggedly updated the page from his hospital bed ’til the end. He was 23. There’s a great story about his life/death at The Voice.

Yes, I too want to say thanks for posting this on Stereogum. I visited Alan’s site regularly and it’s truly sad to hear about his death. I wish humans didn’t have to die.
