Earlier this summer, a vibrant, easy-to-love video called “Cash, Diamond Rings, Swimming Pools,” made by the Berlin-via-Bulgaria rapper DENA, came out of left-field to become one of the summer’s most replayable clips. The song features our star, DENA, expressing that she doesn’t care about material stuff as long as she can hang out with her friends by the pool, built around simple hooks and lines (If you’re listening to this in a hot country / Come rescue me, I’ll give you what you need). It’s fun and fresh, and despite its skeletal bounce and rhythm, it’s memorable. The video is no slouch either, existing as a chronicle of some European youth having a good time with the mundane. Today, we’ve got the official MP3 for that track, so head below nab it.
She doesn’t have a lot out yet, but there’s a couple more things at her website.
