Jonsí told The Guardian he and his bandmates went and “chucked” the recordings they did for their sixth album and plan to “start it all again” after “having babies.” (Of course, fans can partially satisfy their Sigur Rós cravings with Jonsí’s solo debut, Go, out 3/22. But still.)

So wait, they were pretty much set to finish up and release the album this year, and now we’re all the way to square one? Fffffffuck.
Honestly, if they weren’t satisfied with their finished product, I’m glad they scrapped it. Sigur Ros has too good aof a track record to screw it up with a half-assed release. Can’t wait for the new Jonsi and (eventually) their 6th
also, does Jonsi sound a bit bitter about the “babies” thing? (not to sound homophobic…)
Honestly, this is good news to me. I felt like the Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust album wasn’t as good as albums past, almost like ti was rushed or something, I don’t know. I like it, a lot, but it doesn’t have the same fullness of the other albums.
I was thinking about having a baby as well. Don’t think I’ll be making any albums during that time either.
See ya down the road Sigur Ros!
What’s wrong about this? I hope all artists were as aware about quality control.
