They did “A Man Needs A Maid” minus Frusciante. The MusiCares event also featured Dave Matthews, Norah Jones, Wilco, CSN, etc. (And Young won his first Grammy ever Sun night: Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package for Archives Vol. 1.)

The words and the pretty mix an a winning way…
Let’s pretend, for a moment, that RHCP never existed.
OK.
Now imagine you are in a bar and some local bands are playing and RHCP are one of them.
Would you not think that Anthony Keidis is the ALL TIME WORST SINGER OF… ALL TIME???
HUH?
WOULDN’T YOU!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
yes, but imagine if they never had Anthony Kiedis, and had John Frusciante or Josh Klinghoffer doing vocals. It would be amazing.
I love John Frusciante. He was the purest part of the RHCP. I’m so sad, but at the same time happy for him. Oh no! I have so many conflicting feelings.!
The main reason I can’t listen to RHCP anymore is because of Anthony’s annoying yapping. I’ve seen them on early tours (Mother’s Milk) and they were great live but I think it’s time to do something else. They are perilously close to becoming the next Aerosmith.
