Last night was Grizzly Bear’s time to shine as part of Stephen Colbert’s StePhest Colbchella ’012 RocktAugustfest, and the group showed up to play three songs. Also, they did a highly entertaining interview with Stephen aboard the Intrepid, so don’t miss that. Watch performances of “Two Weeks,” “Sleeping Ute,” “Yet Again” and the interview below.

This band is phenomenal. They have contributed some of the most beautiful music to this world. Looking back in music history, 30 years from now, GB will be considered one of the greats of this generation. While some of these other indie bands are so much more forgettable.
colbert was a dick to fun., just reinforcing how much i love this man
“There’s a harmony in a round motherf**ker!”
that was him joking with grizzly bear. it seemed like he really didnt want fun. there
fun. was a dick to him, then he was a dick to them. And he won
Also fun. totally sucks and their interview just confirmed it
True. Colbert has a good taste in music, or at least he tends to enjoy music I do. There’s reports of him being a neutral milk hotel fan
“baste me”
“I’m going to bump the shit out of you tonight”
Incredible. I’m not sure who I loved more, Colbert or Grizzly Bear…. Ed probably shouldn’t try to match wits with Colbert next time. You’re going to come out on the short end every time, my friend.
at least ed could keep his upper lip a bit drier I MEAN NO DISRESPECT B)
this was so great. Much more fun to watch than the santigold and fun interviews, not to mention musically.
