Earlier this week, Beth Orton shared “Magpie,” the elegantly spare opening track from her new album Sugaring Season. And last night, she came through the Late Show With David Letterman to play a solo acoustic version of it, sounding completely luminous the whole time. You could tell Letterman liked it since he couldn’t find a single snarky thing to say about it. Watch the performance and download the song below.
