Here’s a new demo from the Avalanches, a minimally-accompanied spoken word joint featuring Silver Jews’ David Berman, who reads. Remember, that mixtape posted back in April wasn’t actually from the band, so this is the first new bit of anything in quite some time. Hear it below.

Worth the 12 year wait? Yes.
Some clarifications need to be made. The Sleepy Bedtime mix from April WAS actually from one of the members of The Avalanches, whereas the Cool Gays mix that had a track that was an old demo by The Avalanches was made by one of the members of Architecture in Helsinki.
