I can’t think of any good reasons why the Walkmen aren’t on TV every week, but when they do show up, I’ll take it. Last night, they were on the Late Show With David Letterman, getting all elegantly wry on their great single “Heartbreaker.” And, surprise surprise, they were great. Let’s see if these guys can skateboard below.
The Walkmen’s great album Heaven is out now on Fat Possum.

Classy dudes.
“I can’t think of any good reasons why the Walkmen aren’t on TV every week, but when they do show up, I’ll take it.”
Still trying to understand this sentence.
theres the goat
Wow, either this is a different audio track than they had on TV, or I need to check the left speaker on my television. I could barely hear Pete Bauer’s guitar for much of the performance, but it sounds great here.
The Aura of the H-Man, I agree totally with you about the audio track. I just commented elsewhere about the awful mix on this when I watched it on my tv. Didn’t bother watching the video on here until I saw your comment. Now I’m glad I did.
Good, that means my TV isn’t broken.
What a bunch of gentlemen. The walkmen are what we need – just a bunch of ridiculously talented dudes banging out solid albums. This is a working band. Love his watch, same one from the rat in juans basement. Drummer always kills too.
IAgreed on all points. Also have had the same watch for years…best 14 bucks I’ve ever spent.
I used to have the silver digital casio with the STRETCH metal band. Oh my god, what a watch. i lost it and miss her every day.
I really don’t get David Letterman (sorry America)…
