Life Is Good, the startlingly good Nas album, ends with “Bye Baby,” in which the rapper bids farewell to his ex-wife, the singer Kelis. It’s not a spiteful or angry song; it’s fond and pensive and full of perspective, not exactly something you hear too often in breakup raps. And the new video, from director Aristotle, keeps that theme going, showing Nas getting drunk on memories and signing divorce settlements. Aaron Hall, singer for the new jack swing group Guy, is sampled on the song, and he shows up in the video. Watch it below.
Life Is Good is out now on Def Jam.

It’s a classic. Nas always will be at the top of his game, even when he seems aimless.
Love the new record! Cant wait to see him live at the Voodoo Experience! Halloween weekend in New Orleans…sick!
