    This makes sense to me. I mean, they don’t have the Best Actor nominees recreate their performance live.

    i disagree because nobody wants to see a scene recreated, but a song is usually short and complete and is great build up for the award (especially if someone like elliott is nominated or three 6 mafia for a little contrast).
