Look, Nicki Minaj is on American Idol and feuding with Mariah Carey and shit now, so we’re probably not going to be posting her stuff that much here anymore. And it’s not even that there’s anything wrong with that stuff; it’s just several galaxies removed from what Stereogum usually covers. (I love Taylor Swift dearly and without reservation, but I don’t post her stuff here.)
However! When anyone makes a video with this level of vicious day-glo absurdity — Nicki gleefully taking a flamethrower to a neon barbershop full of pink-clad backup dancers, Cassie achieving something like .9 on the Grace Jones Scale, a futuristic motorcycle thing that may have escaped from a 2002 Jadakiss video — we’re going to post it. It’s just going to happen. Even if you hate Nicki Minaj, you should watch it. It won’t change your mind, but you’ll enjoy hating it. Colin Tiley directs. It’s below.
