I love Colbert but I thought he was a little rude to Annie, you can’t treat someone that talented and pretty like a back up singer.
He’s joking with her, he’s perfectly aware of how he treats his guests.
I know. I just thought it was in poor taste since a lot of his audience might not be aware of her work. I think that she’s just so nice that the jokes didnt work like they were supposed to.
I kind of felt the same way on this… I was kind of cringing a little bit while I was watching it. I don’t think he was genuinely trying to come across the way he did, and I think a lot of us knew that, but it still sort of felt like the things he was saying weren’t quite coming out as intended.
