British postpunk herky-jerkers Foals will release their new album Holy Fire early next year, and first single “Inhaler” is a bruising, cathartic banger with a full-bore chorus that gives me mid-’90s industrial-metal flashbacks. In its brand new video, the band plays in an empty zebra-striped swimming pool while mobs of disaffected-looking kids pull off pop-and-lock contortionism, execute BMX stunts, and shoot roman candles at each other. There are a couple of boobs in there, too. Watch it below.
Holy Fire is out 2/12 on Warner Bros.

Foals are very steadily becoming my favorite band ever.

i’m super feeling that hoodie/sweater he’s got goin on
Yannis Philippakis, What a dude.
Apparently Kele wasn’t alone when he hid out listening to White Pony.
The song is pretty good but man the video looks like a bunch of cuts from other music videos all spliced together. Incredibly boring.
Wow. Certainly didn’t expect this after their mixtape Tapes. Do like this funk-rock approach, but hopefully there’ll also be some math-rock numbers they perfected on Total Life Forever. But what’s amazing is Yannis’ belting vocals: either he’s had training or it’s some super-compressed studio trickery…
