Boston’s Dropkick Murphys have now spent a decade and a half fusing Irish reels with roomful-of-drunk-bruisers punk shoutalongs. Their whole thing should’ve worn thin long ago, but it remains remarkably fun. Next week, they’ll release their new album Signed And Sealed In Blood, and it’s a total blast. Stream the whole thing at Conan O’Brien’s website.
Signed And Sealed In Blood is out 1/8 on the band’s own Born & Bred imprint.

Was okay with Bad Religion and Rancid posts, but as a MA native: No, Tom. Just no. I know the new year means scraping for content, but things are picking up. Save those finger muscles’ strength, big man.
Nah man, I love that band. Always ‘ave.
Nah, man: http://www.punknews.org/article/46732/controversy-erupts-around-al-barrs-punk-and-disorderly-promo-video
isn’t that just a pretty good example of somebody making a mistake and apologizing?
But who mistakenly says that word anymore this day in age, especially the punk scene? It’s no better than if he dropped the “n” word, and then said, “Whoops, sorry!”
yes it was a very dumb thing to say, i’ll agree with you there. do i think it’s a reason to write off the band completely? no.
but fortunately i’ve never really been a fan (and i’m a new england native as well) so the fact that Albarrs is a douche just makes it easier to not listen to their music.
stereogum needs some punk content, and the dropkicks have always brought something (relatively) new to the table
