The warped soul-music pastiche master Jamie Lidell returns next month with a new self-titled album. Previously, we’ve heard “What A Shame,” the weird left-turn of a first single. And now he’s followed it up with “Why_ya_why,” a squelchy and decaying electro-jazz things that pushes things even further in the abstract. Do not expect to hear this thing in any Target commercials. But do listen to it; it’s below.
