Rather than create a lyric video for their weird-as-fuck, falsetto-laden, a-Ha-inspired new single “One Way Trigger,” the Strokes have gone a comparatively low-tech route. They’ve written all the lyrics on what you see above, a fake movie poster that looks like it could’ve advertised a B-level Hitchcock knockoff in, say, 1966. Check out a larger version here.
Meanwhile, a Reddit user did some detective work, claiming that their next album will be called Comedown Machine, that RCA will release it, and that it will be 37 minutes and 49 seconds long. RCA’s now confirmed the title, and revealed the release date: 3/26. Pre-order here.

Well it looks less like Hitchcock, and more like Roman Coppola’s take on Thelma & Louise… But hey what do I know? Glad to see those two have made up.
