Last month, we reported the massive lineup for this year’s Governors Ball, including headlines Kanye West, Kings Of Leon, and one major surprise that would be announced at a later date. It has now been revealed that Guns N’ Roses are the third act. Needless to say, the marquee acts are beaming with personality. Other acts include Animal Collective, Azealia Banks, Miguel, and more. Yikes.
lol at least the Kings of Leon can rest assured they aren’t going to receive the full force of whining about headliners
Kanye cancels out all other headliners.
I don’t why this was down-voted. I thought we at Stereogum hated Kings of Leon since Because of the Times, and GNR since at least 20 years ago?
People can say what they want about Axl being an obnoxious, mentally unstable d-bag, but I saw GN’R maybe 12 years ago (buckethead was the guitarist at the time) and they put on an amazing show. It took them two hours to get on stage, but once they did… I gotta say, I was impressed.
Christ.
Whatever, this is still better than Coachella.
I propose that GNR be legally required to put an asterisk next to their name from now on.
because of all the steroids right?
