In a couple of weeks, Brooklyn scuzz-rockers the Men will release New Moon, their third album in three years. Their last two were excellent, so hopes are high for this one. The chugging first single “Electric” maintained those hopes, and now another song, “I Saw Her Face,” has made its way to the internet. This one is a melodically warm, fuzzy classic rocker that continues to increase the band’s melody-to-noise ratio, and you can hear it below.
New Moon is out 3/5 on Sacred Bones.

wow, nothing says “punk” like the phrase “entertainment weekly exclusive”
also, never been impressed by the singing in this band, and that continues with the weak melody / delivery in this song. ALSO, who the hell recorded this? the drums sound terrible! the snare sounds like a toy and the cymbals sound like crap. did they record this on an iphone?
you’re posting a comment on an internet blog, Sid Vicious
yeah but i dont repeatedly emphasize how punk and authentic NYC i am in every interview like these guys do, and then premiere a single via mark mcgrath
I saw your face and wow
Right then I took a vow
That we’d be together, girl, just you and me
That’s the meaning of eternity
Thank you for that. I haven’t heard that since I was a weee little opossum
totally digging where these guys have been going lately, sound-wise
Entertainment Weekly. lol
