Ribbon Music’s new signing is Light Heat, the project of Philadelphia-based Quentin Stolzfus, whom you may know from his previous project Mazarin. On “And The Birds…,” Light Heat’s debut single, Stolzfus finds a nexus point between Tom Verlaine’s Television vocals (or maybe that’s fellow Philadelphian Alec Ounsworth coming through), warm mid-’60s organ-lined Byrds-era rock, and the How I Met Your Mother theme song. An uncanny formula for success, really. It’s an earworm, exquisitely rendered, here for your streaming:
