For the remarkably smooth and supple new album The Flower Lane, Matthew Mondanile’s Real Estate side project Ducktails has become a real band, one that features New York luminaries like Daniel Lopatin and Joel Ford. And in the video for the single “Letter Of Intent,” a deeply likable deadpan jangle, the whole band, along with guest singer Jessa Farkas, perform the song in and around Central Park, adapting a blank-faced New York cool that seems to spring directly from the ’80s art scene.
