When approaching his refit of Cat Eyes’ Rachel Zeffira’s “Here On In,” the Horrors’ Tom Furse went for an “extrapolation” instead of your standard issue “remix.” And the delineation makes perfect sense — Zeffira’s original is atmospheric, but still tinged with a rock backbone due to its cold, subdued guitar riffs. When Furse gets his hands it on, he turns it elastic, blooming out the ethereal bits into a room-filling gauzefest. Check out the track below.
