A little while back, Thurston Moore jumped into the Brooklyn Vegan comments section to make grandiose claims about his new band Chelsea Light Moving and their live-show plans, writing that they would “detonate any birthday party, wedding or hullabaloo in any country, planet or stratosphere that doesn’t support right wing extremist NRA sucking bozo-ology.” (This is the way you write if you spent long enough making zines in the ’80s and ’90s, which Moore did.) Sure enough, Chelsea Light Moving recently played a basement birthday party for some guy in Massachusetts named Trevor, and a camera crew was on hand to immortalize the proceedings. Watch the band play three songs below.

Chelsea Light Moving’s self-titled debut album is out 3/5 on Matador. Stream it here. Happy birthday, Trevor.

DOM is actually mixing his new album in that same basement according to his Twitter (the tweet has since been deleted,) but he was there, too (he tweeted last weekend that the neighbors made a noise complaint) so I’m inclined to believe Trevor is more than just some random picked out to hold a CLM birthday gig.
Indeed, Trevor is Trevor Healy of Healy guitars http://healyguitars.com/ .
<3 Trevor
He’s been seen commenting here too, if I’m not mistaken.
