i went to see the yeah yeah yeahs play live in l.a. last summer. i had one of those ‘zap!’ moments where i saw the entire evolution of humanity played out (from the big bang all the way to space colonization) in a single hand gesture of karen o. i got it – she is the real deal. i went home and wrote a song for her.

the new Ben Lee album sucks. I think it’ll be out in April? or maybe this month? I heard the promo… it’s god-awful.
Ben Lee has always been more of a performer than recording artist. His new album is a bit hokey, but that’s what happens when you get ditched by your movie star girlfriend and become very spiritual. I still think it’s worth a listen…
