The Postal Service Turn Around

Last month, we celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the release of the Postal Service’s sole album Give Up in conjunction with the release of “A Line Of Tattered String,” one of two brand new tracks from the upcoming reissue of the LP. Here’s “Turn Around,” the second and final bit of original unheard music. The band will begin their reunion tour with Jenny Lewis at the beginning of next month. Check out the vibrant new track below and read our Deconstructing of the group here.

  1. This is even worse than their other single

  2. The instrumental def. sounds like it began as a Figurine track or something.
I like it quite a bit more than Tattered Line Of String tho.

  3. Does anyone know if “Turn Around”/”Tattered Line” are totally new recordings? Or Give Up-era hold-overs that never got released? They sound more like contemporary DCFC to me, but I haven’t been able to find anything to verify my hunch.

I’m only wondering because I love Give Up so much, but I really don’t love these. Either way, they kind of solidify Give Ups “lightning-in-a-bottle”-ness for me.

  4. I’ll probably be one of the few to think this, but when taking it for what it is, I really like this song.

  5. I like it

  6. Am I the only one that clicked on this hoping it was a cover of “Total Eclipse of the Heart”? Every now and then I fall apart..
