Watch RZA Perform With James Blake At Coachella
Most of Coachella’s big surprises happen on the first weekend; by the time the fest gets to its second weekend, everyone knows which guest appearances to expect. But James Blake saved one unbelievably silly surprise for weekend two, bringing out Wu-Tang mastermind RZA to perform “Take A Fall For Me,” their collab from Blake’s new album Overgrown. RZA wore a denim vest, read his lyrics from a music stand, and spent the entire song grabbing his nuts while issuing heartfelt pleas of devotion to a random bored-looking girl in a fluorescent minidress. It was magical. Watch a fan-made video below, and see if you can make it all four minutes and 16 seconds without guffawing.
Overgrown is out 4/8 on Atlas/Republic. I wonder if RZA’s pickup strategy actually works.
