There was a time, the end of 2010, when disco nostalgia was bubbling and artists like Escort and Midnight Magic were making the case for white spandex bell bottom revivalism. Midnight Magic’s DFA brethren Shit Robot (née Marcus Lambkin) was a major player in that movement (Take ‘Em Up,” never forget!). Now, he’s back with “Feels Real” featuring vox from JENR, bka Luke Jenner of the Rapture. It’s a glossy, ’70s-indebted, bass-warbler. The track is part of the DFA White Out Sessions, which means you can check it out below, via video of a turntable spinning the track.
