The Baton Rouge rapper Kevin Gates released a truly excellent mixtape called The Luca Brasi Story in February, and in the months since, he’s made weirdly likable low-budget videos for a bunch of its songs: “Just Ride,” “Neon Lights,” “IDGAF.” In “Paper Chasers,” his latest, he records, plays local celebrity, adds to his prodigious tattoo collection, and makes nerd glasses look tougher than anyone should be allowed to make them look.
