That’s Why critics described Be Here Now as a disappointment for it’s overly physcadelic mixing (production). You’re saying that hardly any sound of a baseline in most songs good!? Of that album good!? Whatever! Don’t get me wrong I like the Album but I’ll be the first to admit that it’s mixing (production) was one huge white line of cocaine. Y’know people go on about how great the Beatles were but for fuck sake c’mon there only a band just like Oasis, NIRVANA and Guns N’ Roses and I guarantee that any of these bands given the right timming could have been just as good as the beatles. The Beatles were in the right place, right time as was Elvis who also took the path that The Beatles did in copying or being inspired by other music around that time such as Chuck Berry. Then The question is who was Chuck Berry inspired by? The list goes on and to be honest who gives a flying motherfucking toss. As long as thier’s decent music put out then fuck the rest of the world, if we like it then anyone else can just Piss Off!

Some of the comments above are complete bullshit. Oasis real music? Hmmm, more rock for teenagers than ‘real’ rock. I grew out of them years ago after thinking they were the greatest band to ever walk the earth. I then started listening to Radiohead and a lot of American rock, and it turns out that Oasis aren’t actually very good at all. I’d rather listen to bands with original and talented musicians who have great songwriting than the overhyped stuff Oasis come out with.
Plus Oasis aren’t true to themselves at all, they rip off tons of older artists, throw in a big sing-a-long chorus, forcefully proclaim themselves to be the best band in the world with a working class image that works very well in Britain, and consequently sell shitloads of records. They’re one of the biggest sellouts of all-time and always have been.
The more I listen to Oasis fans the more convinced I am they know nothing about music. I quite like their 1st, 2nd and 5th albums (half decent – nothing spectacular), but the other two are shite. You want ‘real’ rock listen to some Tool, Bends/OKC-era Radiohead, Coldplay, A Perfect Circle, Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave or Manic Street Preachers.
