The reunited old-timey college-rock trio Throwing Muses are getting set to release Purgatory/Paradise, their new combination album and art book, and now they’ve made a video for the driving first single “Sunray Venus.” Or they’ve posted it like it’s a video. Really, though, it’s more of an exceptionally arty lyric video, with a few intentionally-wrong words floating through kaleidoscopic images of doll heads, guns, food, and cowboy boots.
