Crying does not make one emo. Cutting does not make one emo. Dressing emo does not make one emo. Listening to emo music just to proclaim one’s emoness is not emo. I was just looking through this and stumbled across something that really sums it up for me, the guy who said “EMO = EMOTIONAL = PUSSY” WTF?!?!? Don’t you have emotions of your own? Don’t you hate ‘emo’s'? and no, none of you know what emo means, whichever way you look at it the music is shit (I consider myself a metalhead, but what the fuck does it matter what music i like? why did you fucking ask?) but the kids you see now with these ‘emo haircuts’ are not emo, they are scene kids. the ‘scene’ has no actual musical classification of its own, so i dont know why its associated with emos, all they do is leech of the musical tastes of others. If they copy you would you want people to assosciate you with them? No so get a fucking clue and get it right, and definately don’t say hardcore music is bad. This is one of the things the ‘scene’ is trying to latch on to, fuck the scene, hardcore is basically just metal but harder. If you still can’t accept that, it’s because you know it’s too late to change your mind without looking like a scene kid yourself (probably because you are one) for defending the wrong type of music for so long.

When did “Emo Haircuts” become a sin? Seriously, everything people do is a FAD. Which means others are doing it as well, no matter if you dress as a jock but listen to goth rock (i.e. The Cure, The Cult etc.), other people do it, as other people listen to metal. OMFG! Emo (both the trend, style, music, and people) suffers from serious mental disability. Looking like a piss poor copy of a transvestite, and listening to shitty music is pretty much a universal reason for getting bashed on by others.
I’m a metalhead, old school at that. I have long hair, that I take care of. For one, those Emo haircuts are not “long” hair. Have hair past the bottom of your shoulder blades, that’s long hair.
Fact 1: Emo music is horrible and contains no talent.
Compare it to metal, bands like Shadow’s Fall, Unearth, Lamb of God, etc. Metal takes true skill and near-mastery of your intrument to play correctly. Emo music takes knowing 3 chords, maybe 4 if they are showing off for their genre. Emo music is just flat out talentless.
Fact 2: Wearing tight pants and having a flock of seagulls hairdo makes you look gay. No one gives a shit if you are gay, but it’s just a fact, you look gay dressed like that.
Fact 3: Skinny pale Emo guys with makeup and those “sad, depressed” expressions are pussies. Every single guy on that video looks as if he can bench maybe 20 lbs… with help… and a spotter. You bitch and moan because metalheads and other cliques make fun of you… well be a man, get some muscle and shut those people up.
