Dark Blue are a Philly supergroup consisting of John Sharkey III of Clockcleaner, Andrew Mackie Nelson of Ceremony, and Mike Sneeringer who used to be in Purling Hiss and is now in Strand Of Oaks. (All of them played in Puerto Rico Flowers as well, but that was always framed as Sharkey’s solo project.) Dark Blue’s upcoming album, Pure Reality, also features Jeff Zeigler in the production booth (he produced Slave Ambient by the War On Drugs, too). “Here On My Street” is the first single from that album. It finds the band using their fantastic playing to craft a romantic anthem. Listen.
