Watch Kendrick Lamar Perform With Prince On Paisley Park Webcast
Prince marked the release of his two new albums yesterday with a livestream special for Yahoo that focused on the history of his Paisley Park estate and interviewed collaborators who worked on his most recent records. Towards the end of the 90-minute broadcast, Prince finally performed some songs (three, to be exact) and brought out Kendrick Lamar for one of them. Lamar joined to add a verse to “What’s My Name,” a rarity from Prince’s 1998 box set Crystal Ball. Watch video of his verse below.
In other Purple One news, he did a Facebook Q&A yesterday to promote the new albums and ended up answering only one question. The lucky question? “Please address the importance of ALL music being tuned to 432hz sound frequencies???” He answered with a link to this article. Better luck next time, Prince.
ART OFFICIAL AGE & PLECTRUMELECTRUM are both out now on Warner Bros.
