Jamie Lidell – “Pink Light”
Jamie Lidell doesn’t subscribe to any particular genre leaning, and his discography amasses new influences without straying from his origins as a straight-up dance producer. “Pink Light” is a slow-burner, and its inaugural moments sound not totally unlike the fateful slow dance before the closing credits of an ’80s film. Astral synths abound, gossamer sheets of sound unfurl to reveal Lidell’s unhurried croon. This is one for the nightly wind-down. Listen below.
