Leon Bridges – “So Long”
Leon Bridges, the young Texan singer who’s carved out a space by reviving that old early-’60s Sam Cooke soul sound, is having a hell of a breakout year. After dropping the fully-formed, endlessly listenable debut album Coming Home, he’s now got a new song on the soundtrack to Concussion, the movie in which Will Smith plays a doctor who discovers the impact of brain injuries in the NFL. The song is “So Long,” a stately and pretty ballad that will almost certainly sound amazing over the movie’s end credits. Listen to it below.
“So Long” is out now at iTunes. Concussion opens 12/25.
