Scott Weiland passed away last week at the age of 48, and since then we’ve read a several tributes to the late musician. Billy Corgan, Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver all penned short pieces, and today Weiland’s ex-wife and children shared a heartbreaking piece about the effects that Weiland’s rampant substance abuse had on his family. Chris Cornell performed in Melbourne last weekend and dedicated a rendition of Temple Of The Dog’s 1991 song “Say Hello 2 Heaven” (which was originally a tribute to Andy Wood) to Weiland.
